The article makes I-statements but doesn't attribute an author besides "Independent SAGE".

Marc, I agree. It’s Sheena Cruickshank, but I only know this because I clicked on the link to her Guardian article. So far Christina is the only member of the group who has introduced herself at the beginning of her Substack. It would be great if all members could remember to do this, so we know which expert we are hearing from. It’s so great to have these updates!

Thank you, Sheena. It's so disappointing to see politicians of all political hues completely ignoring the impact that Long Covid will have on our health, happiness and economy. With reference to the issue of vaccination becoming the preserve of the rich, I wonder if there is any way that the better off might be able to directly subsidise the high-risk less well off? I would happily match my vaccine cost with a donation to a fund for others judged to be in need.

Do you happen to have any information on why the Novavax vaccine has now been delayed twice from its expected availability on April 1st?

Wonderful summary and future focussed piece. Sadly, I have had lingering Long Covid symptoms for a while, which has really knocked my ability to work at my former ability. I've used the NHS in the last few years more than I have in the rest of my life up to that point. I know there are millions of people like me and I would love to see a bit more thought in government about how prevention really is the best cure. Case in point, clean air for schools, the option of having vaccinations for children/teachers.

Thank you, Sheena, for highlighting this issue. As an economics graduate with Long Covid, I have been concerned about this for a long time. Government is not paying attention to post-Covid health realities. The stigmatisation of people with long-term illness adds insult to injury.
