Independent SAGE has joined substack!

Hello, Christina here!
Our regular live briefings may have stopped (archive here), but we haven’t and neither has Covid.
Data from England is gradually disappearing, but some remains and we can continue learn from data from other countries (especially waste water monitoring). Lots of new research continues to be published, ranging from exciting innovations in vaccines, increasing insights into the physiological of Long Covid and possible treatments, the latest on new variants and their potential for future waves, all the way to better understanding of the efficacy and role of different public health measures.
We’ve started a substack as a way of sharing our members’ insights with you - subscribe to benefit from round-ups from world leading scientists delivered direct to your inbox!
We’re aiming for a post roughly every two weeks, but there’ll also be ad hoc posts responding to the latest news or research. Each posting member has their own section on this site, and we’ll be covering different, if overlapping, aspects of the ongoing pandemic. Some of us have substacks of our own, and where relevant, Covid posts will be posted on both this and personal substacks. We also welcome Bob Hawkins to the substack team so we can share his continuing fantastic data updates. First substack coming very soon by our chair Prof Steve Griffin!
We intend this substack to remain free - so do subscribe and tell your friends too!
And thank you for all the support over the last (almost) four years too.
While I despair over much in the public sphere wrt Covid, I'm so grateful for the Indie_SAGE community for all your contributions.
A really good (and possibly timely) initiative. Well done to you all. Welcome back!
